Jocelyn Jun
Jocelyn Jun is a student intern with the Korean American Institute, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to produce insightful and actionable research to improve decision-making on issues facing Korean Americans.
Her academic interests are public policy, civic engagement, and international trade and globalization, with a particular focus on how research and storytelling can inform more thoughtful policy discussions. As a second generation Korean American, Jocelyn is passionate about exploring issues of identity, representation, and cross-cultural understanding through both qualitative and quantitative perspectives. Drawing on her bilingual proficiency in Korean and English, she seeks to engage with a broader range of perspectives and sources that strengthen culturally informed research.
She is a rising junior at Wheaton College in Illinois where she studies International Relations and Economics. Outside of the classroom, Jocelyn has engaged in public humanities and community-based storytelling through the Aequitas Fellows Program and is committed to fostering meaningful dialogue across diverse communities. She hopes to contribute research that strengthens civic engagement and supports evidence-based policymaking, helping Korean American communities continue to thrive.
