Daniel Jo is a student intern with the Korean American Institute, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to produce insightful and actionable research to improve decision-making on issues facing Korean Americans. He joined KAI in February 2026 and has interests in civic engagement, public policy, Korean American communities, and education technology.

His academic and professional interests center on how public institutions, community organizations, and emerging technologies can expand access to educational and civic opportunities. He is particularly interested in the use of education technology to improve student support, strengthen communication, and help underserved communities navigate complex systems. Through research and community engagement, he seeks to contribute to more inclusive and practical policy discussions.

Daniel is pursuing a B.A. in Political Science at Wheaton College, where he serves as a Career Services Peer Coach and Sophomore Class President. At KAI, he has contributed to research, public events, website development, and initiatives related to Korean American civic engagement. His experiences in student government, career services, and nonprofit work have strengthened his interests in law, public service, education technology, and community-centered leadership.
