John Lim
John Lim is the founder of LimNexus LLP, a leading minority-owned corporate boutique law firm with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco. LimNexus represents Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies, institutional and private investors, lenders, developers, national retailers, and emerging technology companies in all facets of commercial transactions and disputes.
With a strong passion for creating a just and equitable society, Mr. Lim has helped found and/or served as board chair of many nonprofit organizations, including the Korean American Institute. As an attorney committed to advancing equal opportunity and equal access to justice, Mr. Lim actively supports various public interest groups that serve the disadvantaged and marginalized. Mr. Lim and his partners provide scholarships to diverse law students through the LimNexus Foundation.
For his work in the community, Mr. Lim has been recognized with numerous awards. He received the American Bar Association 2019 Spirit of Excellence Award and the State Bar of California Pro Bono Legal Services Award for his relief work following the Los Angeles 1992 civil unrest. A 1982 graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Mr. Lim was selected numerous times as a “Southern California Super Lawyer.”
